COURSE DESCRIPTION
This research program will introduce the advanced technology terminology associated with data science, machine learning, and their application in the finance industry.
Students will gain a basic understanding of financial statement data and non-financial metrics that can be linked to financial performance and dive deeper into business and financial modeling. Through guided lectures, students will gain hands-on experience tackling interesting data problems with basic programming skills. Students will conduct business case studies and develop strategies and solutions based on analysis outputs.
This program will train students in academic research paper writing and public speaking. Students will document their study in a research paper and present it at the end.
PROFESSOR BACKGROUND
Professor‘s research focuses on the intersection of human-computer interaction, innovation, and security. Prof. has worked with various international, intergovernmental, diplomatic, and private organizations, including the United Nations, the International Peace Institute, and the U.S. Mission to the European Union. Prof. is also a member of the FBI InfraGard, NY Chapter and a prominent member of the Council of Europe Octopus community working on initiatives to strengthen public-private cooperation in fighting cybercrime.
